How to blur video on iPhone or Android
Use Safari or Chrome to blur part of a clip on your phone. Trim, Blur In/Out, save the export.

TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp export from the camera roll. The phone gallery rarely offers timed blur on one region. Safari and Chrome on the phone can still run a browser editor if the clip is short enough.
Blur video on iPhone or Android in the browser
- Open BlurThis in Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android).
- Video tab → pick the clip from Files or the photo picker. Stay under the size and length limits shown on upload.
- Trim, Blur In, place the box, Blur Out, download. Save to Files or camera roll.
- Upload the redacted copy to the social app, not the original.
Mobile limits to expect
Long 4K clips may be slow or fail export. Trim aggressively. Desktop Chrome or Edge is faster for heavy exports. If the site feels cramped, rotate to landscape for the timeline controls.
When the in-app editor is enough
Some apps offer a sticker or blur brush on a single frame. That does not carry through a moving shot. For a walking vlog or screen recording, use timed blur on a timeline instead.
