Zoom and Teams can save a meeting to the cloud or to disk. Before you share that file with HR, a client, or YouTube, names in the participant strip and chat overlays need to go. You do not need a full editor license for a five-minute cut.

How to blur a Zoom recording before sharing

  1. Export or download the MP4 from Zoom local recording or cloud (if you own the meeting).
  2. Open the file on the Video tab at BlurThis. Trim to the segment you will publish.
  3. When the participant list appears, Blur In over that corner. Blur Out when the layout changes.
  4. Repeat for chat pop-ups or shared screens that show unrelated tabs.
  5. Download and share only the redacted export.

Gallery view vs speaker view

Gallery view moves faces. Use a larger box or multiple timed segments. Speaker view is easier: one face, one box, one In/Out pair per speaker change if they swap.
